Progress on Simplicity 1696: Floral Pants

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone on the awesome comments re: my mini wardrobe...and my crazy July output.

My hand is kicking my tookus so I haven't had a ton of online activity because typing and cell phone use only aggravates it. At some point during the ride home from Memphis I did something weird and holy cow! My middle and ring finger went completely numb. Time to shop for a 2nd opinion...

Construction on my floral pants has started!

I am really digging this S1696 pattern. I like the pockets a little more than my S2700 TNT pants pocket. We'll see if they do a better job of staying flat...

But geesh does pockets take up a ton of time!?! Whew!

Tonight I'll stitch my darts and faux welts (I'll try real welts another time...but I know I don't want actual pocket bags in back so I have been unmotivated to make them in any of my pants), and sew the waistband pieces to the pants pieces. Then tomorrow I'll be ready to baste them together to tweak the fit.

Hope to have them all done Friday and move on to my other items.

The fly is now done. Crazy floral pants deserve crazy polka-dot pocket bags!

I have an unhealthy fascination with making belt loops. It's ridiculously cool to me!
