My sewing was all over the place for October and November will have a bunch of "just because I wanna" sewing :) My wardrobe is full. I have lots of storage but I also have lots of clothes. LOTS! So my November plans (when I decide on them!) will reflect this.
In October, I sewed 15 yards:
- Vogue 8979 top in red poly crepe - 1.5 yards
- Butterick 5678 shirt in pink cotton oxford - 1.75 yards (WIP-needs buttonholes)
- New Look 6261 dress in plaid wool - 1.5 yards (finished-needs pressing and photos)
- Style Arc Edith top in pumpkin rayon challis - 1.75 yards - wadder :(
- New Look 6301 dresses in ponte - 6.5 yards (2 as a gift, 1 for me!)
- Simplicity 2246 dress in black ponte - 2 yards (WIP-needs buttonholes)
And how funny that these 3 haven't appeared yet :-p I will probably do one big write up as they are all patterns I've already sewn and minimal changes were made this time around.
Fail: SA Edith. Pattern seems like it'll be fine, but my fabric choice was a fail.
Accomplishments: I didn't push myself much this month. I suppose with the NL dress. While everything wasn't perfect, I did a really nice job matching across the zipper, which I was worried about and put off for days :)

Making My Wardrobe Work Wrap Up
I had SO much fun documenting my outfit choices for October. Sure, there's Me Made May, which I love, but this was about putting looks together, not just wearing handmade. Although the vast majority of my wardrobe is handmade now :)
The whole month, along with outfit details and my 1-10 rating are HERE.
Here are my faves for the month:
Part of me feels like it was all over the place! But the other part says I'm pretty consistent in my love for top+pants+topper. And that I feel like if I "just" wear a top and bottom I need big jewelry.
I wonder if Heidi, Nina and Zac would look at this collection of items and say that this is the "same woman"? :-P

2 in the center bottom are the same day.
I just love wearing my Burda coat so much!

What I learned?
- I really like 'playing in my clothes'. This entire time, I would spend about 30 minutes on Sunday evening trying on looks and coming up with 3 solid options. This gave me for sure things to wear with a couple days of freedom for feeling "blah" or having a sudden change of heart.
- Black, gray and denim are my neutrals.
- Throwing a denim jacket over dresses makes me happy and I should do it more often.
- I love my gray Butterick 6169 moto jacket.
- I wore a dress 5 times and a skirt 2 times. Interesting as I was so gung-ho for fall and dresses!
- I wore 7 pairs of pants twice each
- I had one day where I didn't get dressed so the other 9 days each had a different pair of pants. That's 16 pairs of pants I wore this month! OHMYGOSH. I am totally not making more pants. Okay I probably will. But sheesh! LOL!
So my big takeaway is that I like dresses but I still love separates. And I "need" more cardigans and jackets. And still feel like I need more tops.
And while I can appreciate minimalist approaches...I am just a person who will have a large wardrobe!
Also, I am thoroughly enjoying Rocksbox. I've received 2 boxes during the month of October. I'll write a review after receiving my 3rd box.

I'm working on an outfit from the November Burda for my daughter and have 2 things planned from Burda for myself (August and October issues)...but I haven't put any plans in stone for November.
More on that after I've had a chance to ponder.
