New McCall's Patterns!!!

Truly, genuinely excited about this one!!!  Winter collection

Squeeeeee!

Pretty sassy 7053...

I have a thing for waistcoats 7056

This is SO similar to a sweater I stole from Dougie. This is meant for wools but would make up in a thick knit quite well I'm sure!! 7058

THIS!!! I need this jacket/cardigan. NEED it! 7055

And I need this skirt. Like, really badly please. 7054

I want to like the dresses but I don't. Yet. Someone like Adrienne or Erica will make it and it'll be fabulous. But I LOVE this top. I mean LOOK AT IT!!! 7046

What?? I do need this. I need nightshirts! I have cute fabric in animal print and penguins waiting to become nightshirts!!!

Wait, I take back re: the gowns... 7047 is nice but the fabrics are so disturbing...

Plus SUPER cute tween patterns:

Disclaimer: I despise those ruffled leggings

  1. Those are some cute patterns! And YES, disturbing fabrics, but the gowns are ok. Anything on Adrienne and Erica is gorgeous. Erica could take the rtw yoga top and style arc yoga pants that I'm wearing as pajamas right now and dress it up and make it look like high fashion. Congrats on the recent contest, btw! I thought you did fantastic! I can't comment often b/c I read blogs on my mobile devices. I'm up late tonight on my desktop, waiting for my DD who decided to drive home late from school! #nervousmom At least I get to comment!

  4. There are a couple of ones that I might get (hi-lo skirt and cardi). My WTF moment happened with M7070. No. Just no.

    1. Well yeah...let's just act like they did NOT with 7070. That's best for all.

The skirt is screaming at me. Impractical yes but...swoon.

    2. I think middle aged elementary school teachers everywhere would disagree about 7070.

  5. Really like that scarf neckline in 7053; it's probably the only pattern I'll pick up. I was instantly attracted to skirt 7054 as well, but since it's getting colder, it just doesn't feel practical enough (Dear Lord; not practical enough? What am I turning into?!). I also saw that girls jacket and thought it was great.

Agree on the girls leggings...they are VERY Abba, and not in a good way.

    1. Must never drink beverages while reading commentary by Jess. Check!

I laughed out loud at "What am I turning into?!" and again at "VERY Abba". bwahahahaha!

7053 is smile inducing and I have no good reason to make the skirt other than desire to do so. I think it works!

  7. The hooded coat/jacket was the only pattern that really grabbed me for me, with this collection. I do really like the tween jacket/hoodie, if Eva was a little older. And those ruffled leggings...ugh. I wouldn't even dress my daughter in those, and she's 2. That's the kind of garment that you see all over the indie kids' desginers patterns that I avoid.

  10. I like the waistcoat and I never understand leggings with ruffles either!

  11. I wasn't too interested in this collection. I am, however, excited to see what you whip up!
